Normally ad agency’s want consumers to buy , Now, one agency is going to eliminate the middleman, as it were, by bringing the retailers onto its premises and inviting shoppers to come by.The New York office of Wieden & Kennedy is putting on a five-day “retail event” called Shop, intended to showcase the merchandise sold by local fashion designers. The event is a variation on the popular merchandising strategy known as pop-up retail, by which a store tries to conjure some magic by opening in a special  space for only a short period of time.
