Thailand: Broadcaster MCOT’s revenue up 15% in Q1

Thailand’s state-owned broadcast company MCOT Public Company Limited reported today that its total revenue in the first quarter of 2011 grew by 15 percent to 1.27 billion baht (US$42.5 million) year-on-year, according to MCOT President Tanawat Wansom.

Mr Tanawat said earnings for the company’s television broadcasting business rose by 14 percent compared to the same period last year for a total value of 849 million baht ($28.3 million).
