Journalists and photographers from the Philippines can enter a competition on population and development.
The Population and Development Media Awards, sponsored by the Philippine Legislators’ Committee on Population and Development (PLPCD), recognize journalists who raise public awareness on these two themes.
Potential topics include the Millennium Development Goals, public health, reproductive health policy, economic growth, poverty, climate change and urban development.
Print, photo, broadcast and online journalists are eligible to apply. There is also a special category for citizen media and bloggers. Articles must have been published or broadcast between August 16, 2010 and August 15, 2011.
The winner of each category will receive a cash prize. For more information, click here.
