UK news broadcasters win International Emmys

British broadcasters Sky News and Channel 4 have won International Emmy Awards for their coverage of the Taliban in Pakistan.

The International Emmys were presented to the winners by the International Academy of Television Arts & Sciences in New York today.

Sky News’ Pakistan – Terror’s Front Line, presenting exclusive coverage revealing that the Taliban are in control of a large part of Pakistan, won the News category.

Dispatches – Pakistan’s Taliban Generation, a special produced by October Film for Channel 4, which investigates how the war on terror is creating a generation of child terrorists, both inside and outside Pakistan, won the Current Affairs category.
