Nepal Television (NTV) has announced the appointment of a veteran broadcaster, Gambhir Kanta Mainali, as its new General Manager.
He succeeds Bishwa Prakash Maskey, who retired last month.
Mr Mainali was on NTV’s staff when it was launched in 1985 and has served at various levels in the news, programme and planning divisions.
At the time of his appointment he was Deputy General Manager.
NTV said the Council of Ministers had endorsed Mr Mainali’s appointment.
